My tattoo is scabbing, is this normal?
Yes it is normal, scabbing over is a normal part of the healing process. The more solid color and shading the more scabbing you can expect.
My tattoo hurts/looks red/inflamed/etc.
Slight inflammation, burning, or red skin from irritation is normal after getting your tattoo. Any symptoms should go away after about a day or two.
If your tattoo is not healing correctly, please reach out to me, and I will help you.
Do you do coverups?
I do, but only selectively. Don't hesitate to contact me and schedule an in-person consultation if you'd like a coverup!

Yes you can! Two friends max please!
Where are you located?
I'm currently located at Lotus Tattoo in Camrose, Alberta, Canada.
Is there anything I should do to prepare for my tattoo?
Yes, there are some things you can do!
Do not suntan for a few days before getting your tattoo.
Moisturize the general area 3+ times a day.
Eat and hydrate before coming in!
Make sure you're not overtired or hungover for your appointment.
Triple check any spelling, dates, times, etc., if your tattoo will have any.
Drugs & Alcohol
I do not tattoo anyone under the influence of any mind alerting substance.
If you come in drunk I will turn you away and reschedule your appointment.
Do not get high before coming in for a tattoo, it does not help with the pain.
Can I use numbing cream?
Do not use numbing cream. If you apply numbing cream before your tattoo, my stencil will not stick to your skin correctly. I am also not comfortable pushing products unknown to me into your body while I tattoo you.
If you need to take a break or schedule another session during the tattoo, let me know, and I will work with you!
How much will it hurt?
How tattoos feel varies widely; physique, tattoo size, placement, and style affect how your tattoo will feel.
If you're worried about the pain, I suggest starting with a small tattoo. Although most of my clients that are scared of how it will feel end up saying, "Oh, is that it? I thought it was going to be so much worse!".
I'm scared I won't like my tattoo.
If you're scared you won't like your tattoo; you should tell me you're not comfortable getting it. Tattoos are not easily removed, and you should only get one if you're sure you want it.
Even if you've paid me to draw a design for you and would like to back out last moment, please don't hesitate to let me know. I won't be mad, and I would never push you into getting a tattoo you're unsure of.
